I reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason. If the sale is cancelled by the breeder, a full refund will be issued within 7 days. If a deposit has been placed on a kitten and the buyer backs out, the refund is NON-REFUNDABLE meaning the buyer will not get the deposit back. Deposits are transferrable, which means that the buyer can transfer their deposit to another litter if the buyer does not find what they are looking for in that litter. Kittens are to be paid for in full ONE WEEK prior to pickup. Pickup will be rescheduled if the kitten is not paid for in full one week prior.
All breeding cats in my cattery are genetic tested for HCM, SMA, PKDEF, and PRA. I perform echocardiograms on my breeding cats every other year to produce the healthiest kittens possible. All my cats/kittens come with a one-year congenital health guarantee covers HCM, SMA, PKDEF, PRA, and other congenital health problems prevalent in the Maine coon breed.
Kittens will be seen by a vet and vaccinated for the following:
Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydophila at the ages of 8 and 11 weeks old and will be microchipped before going to their new homes. Buyer agrees to have appropriate vaccines performed on the cat/kitten throughout its life. All kittens are sold as PET ONLY unless otherwise specified. IF A CAT IS BOUGHT AS A PET ONLY AND IS BRED, THIS IS A BREECH IN CONTRACT AND BUYER WILL BE FINED $5,000.
Breeder guarantees kitten is purebred with proper documentation available for registration with TICA. It is the buyer's responsibility to register the kitten under their own name by submitting the proper paperwork provided by the breeder to TICA.
With signing this contract, buyer agrees that kitten will NOT be declawed. This is a very inhumane surgery that will have lifelong health implications for the cat. Declawing is also known to cause negative behavioral changes in the cat. Cat/kittens are to be a part of the family. Breeder has the right to ask about living conditions of the cat/kitten. If buyer has to rehome the cat/kitten for any reason, the breeder must be informed immediately. Breeder will help rehome the cat/kitten. If cat/kitten must be returned to breeder, it is at the buyer's expense.
Once receiving your cat/kitten, you have 72 hours to take it to the vet. If any health problems are present in the cat/kitten upon this examination, the breeder must be informed immediately. If any congenital or parasitic problems are found, buyer must send the breeder proof found by the veterinarian. Breeder has the right to call the veterinarian the cat/kitten has seen to talk about any health problems found, the buyer can choose to either:
a.) return the cat/kitten to the breeder at the buyer's expense for a refund of the PURCHASE PRICE (this does NOT include shipping or travel buyer paid to get the cat/kitten, just the price paid for the cat/kitten only); b.) return the cat/kitten at the buyer's expense in exchange for a different cat/kitten cleared healthy against the congenital or parasitic problem(s) the original cat/kitten has (buyer pays transportation for new cat/kitten); or c.) breeder will help pay for medical treatment up to half the purchase cost of the cat/kitten.
Buyer must provide vet documentation before any refund will be issued. Documentation must list definite diagnosis. If cat/kitten passes away, documentation including a necropsy and toxicology performed by a licensed veterinarian and pictures of the deceased kitten's face, body, ears, tail, and feet must be sent to the breeder immediately. Necropsy MUST list a definite cause of death or diagnosis. The cost of the necropsy is to be paid for by the buyer and will not be reimbursed by the breeder.
**Contract will be NULL and VOID if any of these requirements are not met.
